Google Opens Up Map Maker to the United States

Google has added the United States to its Map Maker interface. Already available in 187 countries and regions, the open source program allows users to add and update geographic information from local parks to ice cream shops.  The only thing you need to get started is a Google account. Have fun working with mappers from all over the world and start mapping your area!
