Transportation Planning Tools: OnTheMap Web Conference
On July 21, 2010, the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida, in partnership with Community Transportation Association (CTAA) held a web conference on Transportation Planning Tools: OnTheMap.
The web conference featured two guest speakers:
Matthew Graham, a geographer with the Center for Economic Studies /LEHD at the U.S. Census Bureau provided a live demonstration of OnTheMap Version 4. OnTheMap provides detailed maps showing where workers are employed and where they live with companion reports on age, earnings, industry distribution, and local workforce indicators.
Deb Smith, a mobility manager with North Central Idaho District 2 provided a case study of how to use OnTheMap to identify and address the transportation needs of a rural community.
